Commitments
As a white woman teaching meditation and educating in the anti-racism space, Jill is committed to de-centering whiteness in those spaces and doing her part to mitigate the harms that may be caused to the source cultures.
In addition to teaching through a social justice lens and continuing her own education and work to dismantle systemic racism, Jill pledges the following to uplift source cultures:
In the Anti-Racism space:
Donating 10% of proceeds from anti-racism work to social justice organizations such as SisterSong, Equal Justice Initiative, the Anti-Racism Daily, and Spirit House Project.
Free resources to amplify the work of BIPOC: Jill’s Conscious Anti-Racism podcast and the Conscious Anti-Racism Facebook group
In the Meditation and Wellness space:
Donating a portion of proceeds to organizations that support South Asians who have been harmed by cultural appropriation and casteism such as abcdyogi and Equality Labs
Free resources to amplify the work of BIPOC: interviews on cultural appropriation with yoga therapists Dr. Shailla Vaidya, Priya Verma, PA and Melissa Shah, MPH
