About Dr. Jill
Dr. Jill Wener is a coach and consultant specializing in trauma-informed healing, empowerment, and advocacy. She is an entrepreneur and business owner who teaches EFT/tapping and meditation and provides anti-racism education and consulting. She is nationally-renowned as an expert in physician wellness, and she has:
Led physician wellness programs around the country.
Lectured at the national level on stress and the benefits of tapping and meditation.
Been interviewed on multiple TV shows, radio shows, and podcasts.
She is also a podcast host and best-selling author, and she has several articles published on KevinMD.
Jill’s pursuits and experiences have not only helped her spread awareness of the techniques and education she advocates for, but they have also reshaped her philosophy.
She has remained an avid listener and constant student, and her approach today is informed by her personal and professional experiences, her education and training, and her commitment to pursuing racial and social justice and fighting oppression.
During Jill’s 10+ years practicing Internal Medicine, she was exposed firsthand to the severe stress and burnout that come with busy healthcare environments.
In 2011, Jill learned to meditate, which helped her to overcome her burnout and thrive in her academic hospitalist career. After experiencing meditation’s benefits for several years, she knew that she wanted to teach these life-changing techniques to others.
In 2016, she completed her meditation teacher training in Rishikesh, India, and started her meditation business. (In 2016, she was also called out for writing a problematic blog post, which kickstarted her anti-racism journey and years of self-reflection and deep learning.)
In 2017, she experienced the powerful benefits of EFT/tapping, which helped her through a profoundly difficult time in her life.
In 2019, she became a practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping) and attended the “Allies in Action” anti-racism training.
After the “Allies in Action” training, Jill created the earliest incarnation of Conscious Anti-Racism, and in 2020, her business partner, Dr. Maiysha Clairborne, joined her in developing and growing Conscious Anti-Racism into what it is today.
So, what is Jill’s philosophy and what can you expect when you work with her?
First, she strongly believes that there is no ‘quick fix’; no singular technique can address all of the physical and emotional challenges of today’s society. Further, we don’t need ‘fixing’. Jill has come to understand on her own journey that we are all already enough, and she integrates that mindset into her work with clients. She’s also passionate about rejecting toxic perfectionist wellness mindsets, as these not only can harm people seeking out wellness practices, they also get in the way of true progress and growth.
Jill also believes in taking a trauma-informed approach to every session and workshop, and even to everyday personal encounters. She’s committed to providing – and being – a safe, judgment-free space for people and groups to make real strides toward the lives they’ve always wanted, but might’ve felt too disconnected to live.
She believes everyone deserves to have easy-to-use tools to heal and manage burnout, daily stressors, significant life changes, trauma and PTSD, interpersonal relationships, distressing political events and social justice concerns, and more.
Beyond having the tools, she wants people to feel empowered to embrace the fullness of their emotions – even the supposedly “bad” ones – so they can make true, meaningful progress in their individual journeys. She also believes everyone benefits when even one person accesses meaningful education and tools around anti-racism, anti-oppression and advocacy.
Jill has worked with clients such as Georgia Aquarium, ChenMed, Hartford Hospital, Emory University, Lodestar, the Santa Clara Medical Society, the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health, Yale University, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, University of Washington, Centene, Atkins Global, and the National Alliance for Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions. She is also the host of the Conscious Anti-Racism podcast.

“Jill is an amazing and inspiring teacher and very generous with her time and knowledge. Her passion, intelligence, and humor are contagious. I like how down to earth and no-nonsense she is about meditation and I really appreciated her explanation of how stress affects our physiology and how meditation is scientifically proven to make a dramatic difference on a cellular level. I love meditating!"
- Megan C., Pilates Instructor, Minneapolis, MN
"A friend gifted me a tapping session after I was diagnosed with a very aggressive late stage of cancer. I have usually associated negative feelings with "being negative" and not given myself the space to feel and process them. Tapping with Jill changed that. The sessions helped me with the trauma of my diagnosis and treatment. We have been able to go back and shift some of my past hardships that shaped my coping mechanisms. Jill is skilled and knowledgeable in using tapping as a tool to help me uncover places I'm stuck emotionally and process them with radical love, acceptance and compassion."

"Dr. Wener and Dr. Clairborne have developed a groundbreaking journey of self-discovery that confronts the deep-seated beliefs and behaviors that lead to social and racial inequality. Jill’s expertise in meditation and tapping is uniquely merged with anti-racism work to help participants change the way they interact with the world around them and prepare them to make profound changes in their consciousness and communities."
